The IMB Select got off to a good start in Cologne. For two days, the new trade fair format will be providing ideal conditions for the presentation and discussion of new developments and advancements in process control and data exchange along the value chain. “Our concept has proved convincing – the idea of organising the layout to reflect the textile supply chain has worked out particularly well. We’re extremely optimistic about the future,” says Udo Traeger, Vice President Furniture, Interior Design & Textiles.

The hall started filling up very early in the morning, ensuring plenty of hustle and bustle at the booths and prompting positive initial reactions from several exhibitors: “It’s hard to think of any other fair where we meet our target groups in such concentrated form; the contact with our customers is another important aspect for us.” Other exhibitors are similarly satisfied: “More than any other fair, this event helps encourage direct dialogue between users and providers within the industry.”

It is the participating companies who guarantee this positive response. “The list of exhibitors at the IMB Select 2010 reads like a who’s who of the sector’s strongest suppliers of IT systems, services and strategies for fashion and textile processing,” said one impressed visitor. Despite an increasingly tight agenda of exhibitions and events, the industry’s big players are flying the flag in Cologne.
